I have been offered Bruce for ackley + cozart, or ackley + taillon. This is a dynasty league. I have a lot of outfielders (Stanton, mccutchen, werth, Beltran, Gordon, Crawford), but like the idea of adding a potential all star bat. I have uggla and Reyes at 2b / ss. The real piece I don't wasn't to trade is Ackley. What's the verdict? Is it worth giving up depth to get Bruce? This is also a points league where ks = -1.

Bruce is way too good to pass up. I'd do either

what's your pitching staff look like?

Lester, Haren, Kennedy, A. Sanchez, beachy, Minor, Samarzidja, Hellickson, Chacin, Burnett, Bedard, d. Hudson.
Taillon is on my minor league roster, and I would probably do the two hitters because both Aaron hill and Stephen Drew are on the wire. It would allow me to pick a backup for one position. I'm thinking of doing the trade with the two middle infielders and then trying to move an outfielder or two.

Hill should not be on waivers. Even more reason to do this deal... the drop-off between Ackley and Hill isn't large.

Your pitching staff isn't that strong, but has a little potential considering this is a dynasty league. I'm not very high on you OF. Maybe try to get a really good SP for a couple outfielders. Maybe Beltran and Werth could get you something nice.
Going to sound like a homer, but Cain and Bumgarner are two fantastic guys for a keeper league that some folks don't really think twice about moving because they have no star power.

That's what I'm thinking. This is a prospect crazed league where potential is mostly overvalued. As in I turned Teheran, Scherzer, and Betances into haren uggla earlier this year.

Starting pitching in our league is not dealt becAuse it is weekly league with 12 teams and 28 man rosters, so two start pitchers are pivotal.. I would say my pitching is pretty decent for that scenario. I will definitely try to land some pitching though.

Bruce is a young stud who is already producing like a stud vet.
