We've got a special mass at the Cathedral at 2:30 this Sunday.

I'm usually the one to give others recommendations, but considering that it's a Sunday at 4:00 - 4:30, a JazzFest weekend, we're a family of 5, who will be dressed up, but - don't want to break the bank, I'm looking for a recommendation.

I considered Irene's but they're a little tight for 5, and they're closed on Sundays.

Muriel's is closed on Sunday between 2 and 5, but it's a possibilty.

We've been to the Pelican Club a bunch recently and are looking for something different this time.

Whatcha got?

i'd get out of FQ if i was you. Maya's maybe.

Of course most out of towners going fri/sat should have left by now and those staying for the sun show should still be at the fest. Maybe it wont be that bad

GW Fins is a great suggestion; I bet you could walk in right at 5:00.

I don't know much about your group, but I just had a great meal last Sunday at Sylvain, which is just about a block away from the Cathedral on Chartes. Lots of hipsters there and the atmosphere is kind of pub like, but the food is excellent!

If the weather is nice enough, they have a cool courtyard so you can dine al fresco.

I was definitely thinking good things about GW Finns. I've never been but I hear great reviews.

We decided to go with Muriel's and we were able to get a reservation at 5:00 for 5 (wife and kids).

The wife liked the idea of parking once, and not having to walk too far. I think GW Finns must be 8 blocks from the Cathedral.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've never eaten at Muriel's either, so I'll have to give a review after Sunday.

I think this will work out well for you and you can't beat the location.

Start with the crawfish and goat cheese crepes.
