I'm sure this makes me a bad person, but I never liked Cooley's vocals.

I heard Zip City today at lunch on Outlaw Country. I appreciate the story/writing, but it does not sound near as good, to me, as the other stuff I like from Cooley.
i thought i knew you...

You not listing a song that says,

quote:

Dead fat or rich, nobody's left to bitch..

makes you a bad person.

baloo is a fanboy as well. he can provide far more insight than i. i'm sure once his wife pushes that baby out and the caps beat the bruins he will drop a little more knowledge on us layfolk.

the truckers are one of those bands i knew existed but waited far too long to give a try. cooley is one of my favorite songwriters of all time.

i need to listen to more of isbell's solo stuff. i'm really only familiar with a couple of his solo songs, but the ones i'm familiar with, i really like.

No, he can't. He is a crazy person that likes things for reasons only understood by other crazy people. We can like the same albums and will pick a different best 5 on ever one.

he's wicked smaht. most of what he says goes over my head, but if i could understand it, i'd probably agree with it.

And on my Cooley list, I'm going to replace Carl Perkins Caddy with Love Like This. Can't believe I left that off

Anything isbell has done blows the rest of the truckers away IMO.

My friend went on your though with the truckers on this last run. Used to play bass with the dexateens. Hood did one of their records.
