Is he having a resurgence? It seems like he's been in a lot of previews for upcoming films lately- Prometheus, Lawless, that shitty sci fi movie that came out last week I think. He was also in The King's Speech.

I feel like he wasn't in anything for a long time, but I hope to see him get more work.

Last good movie of his I saw was a tight little neo-noir thriller, First Snow.

Written by two the guys that wrote Children of Men. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

He's in Lockout...

:A man wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates."

Which sucks...but that hot chick from Taken is in it. It's basically Die Hard on a Space Station but you don't care what happens - mindless action, stupid execution.

I wouldn't say it's a resurgence. He's just never grasped on to the leading man role like most thought he would. More of a choice, IMO. Memento, L.A. Confidential, and Count of Monte Cristo were clear opportunities for him to cash in, but he just hasn't done it. Been a solid actor throughout. His brief moment in the beginning of "The Hurt Locker" was just as solid.

I think The Time Machine hurt his career, but he's a mighty fine actor. Always has been.
