As good as the 1st half was today, the team looked completely clueless in the 2nd half, even with the Warnock goal. This team hasn't put a full 90 minute performance together all season.

Yep. Same old story. We'll play ok at times in one half and create chances that we can not put away. The other team inevitably changes things and we become completely over run and give up goals that are generally down to bad defending.

To make things worse, Randy Lerner and that douche Faulkner have been nowhere for months it seems. Just lurking in the shadows watching the muppet sink the ship rather than admit they made a mistake and sack him.

Well Randy has always been invisible. But I think they are very happy to let McLeish soak up the pressure for now. Personally, I think had Petrov not been diagnosed with cancer the pressure would have been much greater by now but the crowd really turned on McLeish and the team for the first time today since the sad news about Stan.

A lot of our protesting has been written off by the media because they think we hate him because he came from Birmingham City. Unfortunately that couldn't be further from the truth, we hate him because of his tactics, the players he buys, his record of negative soccer.

Exactly. Unfortunately this point seems totally lost on neutrals and the few McLeish backers out there; they assume he'd be hated no matter what just because of the blues connection. Total bullshite.

True, he's always been a more hands-off owner, but he has attended fewer matches this season than any other since he took over. There has also been no communication about what the aims of the club are. Whether he owes the fans such communciation, that is debatable. However, he set a precedent when he came in waving scarves, splashing cash and speaking of the '5 year plan' to get Villa back among Europe's elite; it was a statement of intent. Now that the plan didn't work, nothing.

In fact, the last thing I remember hearing from the board was last summer after McLeish was hired when General Krulak spouted off about Europe still being the goal.

All of it makes me think there is some legitimacy to the rumors about the club being sold.
