And the table being solid is important. We do ours in concrete. But none of that's going to help you until you learn how to take a shot properly and do it consistently.

Brand new barrels will spray the bullets all over the place a lot of times. I wouldn't worry to much about the first 20 shots at least if you see some jump out side of the norm.
Put a little weight on the bench and that setup should be killer.
