Winning at this point was counter-intuitive.
I was at the game last night and enjoyed myself, and it was hard for me to not go crazy over a win.

frick no i didnt openly cheer against our team as a matter fact i had to not watch a bunch of games because while i was watching it i couldnt root against us. so many games i just waited and looked at the score and was satisfied if we lost. it made me sad to watch games i hated seeing the discouraging look on our players faces

It guarantees you better slotting than other teams if you don't win the top 3 pick.

Nah.
Fans will forget about an end of season win streak in about 2 weeks. That won't have any impact on fan support whatsoever.
You know what is statistically proven to improve ticket sales and fan support WITHOUT QUESTION? A better draft pick? You know what increases the odds of better draft pick? Losing.
Team morale is also irrelevant. New players, a new owner, an offseason together, and a positive training camp will do far more good than any meaningless end of season spurt.
Big picture people. Quit thinking like "fans".

I'm late reading this, but
I already told you we still have the 3rd worst record because we have more losses than Sacramento and Cleveland. We could definitely lose out.

Looking at the schedule, I hope we rest Gordon and lose out. We play GS and they're blatantly tanking so we still may win that one, but Sacramento has a game left against Charlotte and Cleveland against Washington. Those are almost guaranteed wins so if we lose our last 3 and they win just one of theirs then we will be fine.

Sure they do. True fans that have the use of logic on their side.
I was at the game. In the moment, I wasn't cheering for them to lose. During the course of a game, I don't cheer for them to lose.
But the logical thing for them to do is lose. Wanting them to win isn't logical at all.
