Do you have like an 8th grade education? He likely wasn't getting job offers over his first 6 seasons or so. That means he only had a few seasons to start turning down jobs. At that point, he kids were still in like junior high, he was really starting to build something there, and he saw the mess that was LSU basketball.
All of those are reasons to hold out. NOT A HARD CONCEPT.

so, he knew 6 years ago that Collis Temple could blackmail the AD into getting Johnny a job he didnt deserve?
