I would love it as well. If Chelsea decides to bring somebody else in I think he'd definitely consider it. Of course he should be offered the job there so he could well be off the market.
I actually feel like we have a good amount of options especially compared to last summer when the pickings were slim and the board went for someone who wasn't even on the radar.

He'd be better than many other options, but I'm kind of meh about di Matteo. I see him as a modern day Tony Barton. I think I'd still rather have Lambert has a realistic option, although I'm intrigued by Rafa's odds being so short all week.

Yea, but i'm unrealistic. 
ETA: Well, I don't know about unrealistic. I'm just very optimistic that Martinez would be our #2. I'd love to get a bigger name. Martinez has just kept Wigan's head abv the water. Nothing else. 34 wins in 127 matches. meh.

Bump for my csb.
Just got back from Aston Villa's training session at Toyota Park. Got my Villa flag signed by most of the squad, including Guzan, Lichaj, Bent, Dunne, Agbonlahor and Ireland.
When I was about to leave, Ian Taylor also walked up to me, shook my hand and chatted with me for a few seconds. Awesome.

Very cool. So dissapointed I couldn't make the trip up north to see them. Did you get a chance to talk to any of the players?
I'm gonna start the new Villa season thread soon but I wanted to wait until the squad has begun to take shape a bit. I have a feeling it will be a very different team by August 31. Carruthers is definitely one to watch this year IMO.
