The NFL hatched during the 2011 playoffs the brilliant (and that’s not sarcastic . . . for a change) idea of putting undercover cops in the visiting team’s gear in order to catch those who would subject fans of the visiting team to mistreatment. The NFL has a somewhat less brilliant idea for determining when and if unruly fans back into games.

Didn't they do that in Frisco?

According to Gary Buiso of the New York Post, the NFL will require ejected fans to pass an online code of conduct exam before they can return.

If the NFL would have designated visitor sections in stadiums with cops separating the home team fans from them, this would all be a non issue. Watch any English soccer match and you will see that this works...Hell they already do this for college games minus the cops

Just have visiting fans wear their teams record on their forehead...then we will see what kind of idiots go to away games...can't talk shite if your team sucks

I'm a big EPL fan, but having to separate opposing fans isn't something for the NFL to aspire to. That is more of an indictment of the poor state of EPL fandom than anything. The fact that civilized humans have to be separated by riot police so they won't beat each other to death is ridiculous. Fan fighting isn't a common occurance. Yes, it happens, but it isn't the norm. I think the fact that opposing fans can sit together is one area that American sports does better than any other place.
