It took him all season to see that Chad the "Dreadlocks of Doom" could pitch. The same with Buzzy Haydel.
Um, no. It took him about half a season.

He had some chances and didn't do much with it early in the season. I wish he had been given a little more leash, but we were struggling a little at the time and couldn't really afford to wait.
Mainieri wanted Fields to be a starter in LF but he lost the job in the fall when he hit like crap in practice and scrimmages. Mainieri really had no choice because Fields was horrible at the plate. I hope his hitting continues because he looks really good in CF.

You do know that some people just take advantage of the moment sometimes and play a helluva lot better in a game when given a chance than they do in practice, right?

Didn't LSU win the NC with Chad on the mound? Whatever Maineri did, he must have known what he was doing. Pitiful post dude.

Arby doesn't hit in fall ball or in any of his spot starts during nonconference but somehow that's pm's fault.

Sadly this could be put in most threads on the Rant. Agree there are way too many bitchers.

Baseball is diff than every other sport, guys get hot and cold quick. Not to mention a guy my hit 10hr one year, then 32 the next. I play a lot of fantasy baseball. No telling when someones gonna break out, or have their worst statistical season of their career.
