Looks a lot like BF3, but that's expected.

Does MOH play like BF. I've never played the MOH series but this game looks good.

The multiplayer of the first one played somewhat like BF (it was made by some scrubs at DICE). It was kind of half assed.

The single player was made by a different developer called Danger Close and it played way better, and felt way different, than the multiplayer. Danger Close is now doing the whole game for Warfighter.

I hate when games where the multi player will clearly be the selling point focus their trailers on the campaigns. No one really gives a shite about campaigns of FPS games anymore.

Agreed for the most part, but I still find myself playing all of them. And the last MOH campaign was the tits

Just not a big selling point now. I'll be the first to admit that there have been a few FPS's that I've only ever touched the MP. Mainly because the campaigns have become so generic I really don't feel like chasing "Follow" for a couple of hours. Although, the campaigns are probably lackluster because they know people don't play them.

Chicken and egg.

I remember playing through the first COD campaigns a bunch, 2 and 3. Actually enjoyed it, but I'm a WWII nut anyways. Would be nice to see a developer put a full effort into the single player.

The only reason I sorta care about this campaign is because the first one was so good. They say Warfighter's campaign is centered around more real world events in less infamous terror states like Yemen, the Philippines, and Pakistan.

There's a lot riding on the MP of this game as it's going against Black Ops 2.

I would like a developer to say F the campaign and put all it's time and effort into multiplayer. BF3 really didn't need a campaign.

MoH campaign was one of the better ones in recent memory. I just hate the whole "go here and shoot shite" that they are all about. Nothing new or innovative in a FPS campaign in a long time. Get's boring quick.

I had to push myself through BLOPS. Never played the MW3 or BF3 campaign yet cause I know I will be bored with them.

I agree the majority don't, but unless I am interested enough to buy it for the PC, I just get them from Gamefly, play the campaign, and return them

I enjoyed both campaigns, just not the ending to BF3

Brink and Mag I think were both Multi only. Sadly they were also shitty games so they both failed. Well...Mag was OK and I heard Brink can be fun but it had too much lag and too many bugs on release so the Youtube community bitched which killed it before it could get fixed.

Even though MOH was "go over there and shoot shite", you didn't feel like the only one doing that stuff. You had three (and sometimes one) other guy doing just as much as you were.

I only made it to the second mission in Black Ops and I don't really know where I left off in MW3...maybe when the little girl blew up in Britain.

But MW3 and BF3 don't need campaigns. There's no story. MoH told a story, and it was based on true events. That needed to be there.

I could have done without BF3's campaign. I feel like they tried to follow their competitor's formula too closely, and their pacing wasn't nearly as crisp.

That being said, I would be okay with never playing another FPS campaign again.

The BLOPS one was sort of cool cause it dealt with the Vietnam and Cold War eras even though the characters and events were fiction.

I agree but until a developer and publisher successfully markets and sells a multi only game no one else is going to take the risk.

I know it was way overdone for a while, but I would love to see a developer take a crack at another WWII single player. I could care less of there was MP in it.

Campaigns are just training courses. I guess that's why they put them in. They are showing you how the game plays and feels (although in MoH that isn't the case) without getting your arse handed to you in MP (which will happen anyway).

And I guess it sets the game. Say there was no campaign in BF3...why am I in a subway in Paris? Why am I in the streets of Paris or Tehran? What is the connection? Does that even matter?

If they feel the need to put the game in it's setting, do that in a opening movie. Make it about 4 or 5 minutes, and make it skipable.

ETA: The opening movie in CoD4 was really all I needed to set the game. But, the CoD4 campaign was pretty good.

I wish someone would do a modern version of Panzer General. That shite was fun and I love strategy games.

I always start with the campaign. If it's a good one, I will take a break from multiplayer and end up replaying missions that I liked.
