absolufrickinglutely not imho. Fan is short for fanatic. If you are a "fan" of a sports team but you don't know when they play or who is playing, you aren't a real fan. If you call yourself a music fan but all you listen to is the shite the corporate people pump through the radio, then you aren't being a real fan. Especially with today's music technologies like pandora, spotify, etc.
