Sorry, a coach who is on the verge of leaving his school for another is not going on national tv discuss his current school's signing class.

ETA: One example off the top of my head is Urban Meyer canceling his covering of the Ohio St. game last season when he was rumored for the job. Not exactly the same situation, but a coach is gonna want to stay out of the limelight while negotiations are ongoing.

As of this moment he is still the Pitt HC so he still has to do everything as if his the Pitt HC

They do this all the time. The Urban Meyer example has no relevance because he wasn't coaching at the time. Rich Rod had a press conference expressing his love for WVU the day before he got on a Michigan plane. It happens all the time.
