That's my thoughts too. I'll play in these tourneys and use my real handicap when I know for sure most people just throw out a random number double what it should be.

Yeah I concur with true handicap vs one used for a tourney. I'm sitting out the next tourney because the first 2 were won with 84 and 86 for the 20+ handicap division.

I do not get to play anywhere near enough to establish a handicap but I will say that after reading this that I will not estimate a handicap as high the next time I play in a scramble. I actually learned something about what a handicap is supposed to be by reading TD!
