I'd have to imagine if they tried to do that with Pedroia, someone would have half a bat stuck in their stomach.

The main difference is their durability. Also, I'm not caught up on the Red Sox prospects but Jurickson Profar is ranked 7th in the top 100 prospects by BA. So, Elvis could move to 2nd and Profar to short with Ian taking over MY's role.
