I thunk you have Nola confused with Hanover. Nola has turned it around after his struggles. Hanover has not been good at the plate.

Anyone dumb enough not to know a players name shouldn't be giving any opinions. And, if the idiot thinks there is anyone on this team that could come close to replacing Nola has no clue. Sickening to hear such shite.

Anyone have a reason other than this past weekend to want Dozar benched?

I agree, that maybe he should sit against Lefties, but other than that he's been one of our best hitters after Katz and Rhymes.

And yeah, that Nola comment was sickening and retarded. He is also one of our better hitters.

As much as I love Austin Nola, dogshit can do more at the plate than the disaster show he's been putting on. I hate to say it, but if Yocum can really get into a groove, I'd support yanking Nola for him.

Yeah let's take out a 4 year senior leader and one of the best SS in the SEC.

Dozar is hot gabage!!! He is a senior and has not improved very much at all since his Freshman yr. The kid is batting under 300. That is not acceptable as a senior in college baseball unless your are steller in the field and he is not.

This is an ignorant statement all the way around

I just mainly like Moore in there more due to the fact that him and dozar seem very close as far as hitting and fielding. Since this is the case, I would rather see the young guy get the experience since dozar is gone after this yr. if Moore struggles, then put dozar back in

Imo dozar should sit against lefties. His defense isn't good enough to have to play him everyday. He should also never hit second under any circumstances. He should be dh vs right handers only. If sciambra were healthy our lineup would be looking pretty solid right now. Jmo

Vs righties

Jones 2B
Nola SS
Rhymes LF
Katz RF
Moore 1B
Ross C
Hanover 3B
Dozar DH
Foster CF

Vs lefties

Jones 2B
Nola SS
Rhymes LF/DH
Katz RF
Ross C
Moore 1B
Hanover 3B
Edward/Fields DH/LF
Foster CF

I'm fine with that.

I'd prefer something of a lineup like this:
When all are healthy
3B-Hanover
SS-Nola
RF-Katz
LF-Rhymes
1B-Moore
2B-Jones
C-Ross
DH-Dozar/Edward/Snikeris (Righty/Lefty pending)
CF-Fields/Foster (Righty/Lefty pending)

There's some humdingers in this thread

My ideal lineup...

1. 2B JaCoby Jones
2. DH Grant Dozar (vs. RHP) or DH Alex Edward (vs. LHP)
3. RF Mason Katz
4. LF Raph Rhymes
5. SS Austin Nola
6. C Ty Ross
7. 3B Tyler Hanover
8. 1B Tyler Moore
9. CF Jared Foster

Honestly wish I could work Edward into the everyday lineup but when Raph Rhymes is playing I'm not sure where to put him. He can't play CF to replace Foster...you could kick Katz down to 1B and put Moore on the bench and put Edward in RF...especially against left handed pitching I suppose. Maybe a knee jerk reaction putting Dozar as DH and Moore at 1B but Dozar was just so damn bad this last series at 1B...can't have that again. If he's truly better than Moore stick with him I guess but man was he awful.

man, watching our OF this year is ridic compared to guys like Landry, Mitchell, and Mahtook out there. Seems like so many more balls find gaps

Thats really one of the only reasons I'd want fields out there at this point.

He and Foster are the only 2 with decent speed, and Foster hasn't been good.

I like having foster in there. He puts the ball in play and is getting better in the OF. I know lots of people are blaming him for the bad plays in the OF but I think the other guys are just as much to blame

Dozar is probably our 4th best hitter.....against RH pitching

If Fields has improved a lot then I'd want him over Foster in CF, but as of right now I don't know if this weekend was just more of a fluke than a real him showing.

Foster just needs time in CF. The mistakes he made this past weekend will be great teaching points. They aren't mistakes he should make again.

Honestly expected big things out of Fields this year, things like what we saw from him this last weekend. I really hope we see more of that.

Jones-2b
Foster-cf
Katz-lf
Rhymes-rf
Ross-c
Dozar-dh
Nola-ss
Edward-1b
Hanover-3b
I know it's a different order, but I think this lineup would strengthen the middle order. Ross has been seeing the ball well, and with Katz and rhymes before him, there's a solid chance of all those long good-contact fly outs Ross hits will be sac flys and an RBI. I like Edward in the lineup I think if he plays to his ability he could be a solid .315 hitter

And when there is a lefty pitching I would slide foster down, move Ross to 4th and rhymes to 3rd and finally sub Moore for Dozar

3B-Hanover
SS-Nola
RF-Katz
LF-Dozar (Find a place for this guy!)
1B-Moore
2B-Jones
C-Ross
DH-Snikeris
CF-Fields/Foster (Righty/Lefty depending

So bench rhymes? Edgy but it just may work.
