Fields shouldn't start.

Put in Moore.

Hopefully Edward is healthy. If he is our lineup is really starting to come around.

So you're going to replace a .296 hitter for a .192 hitter?

Maybe try it out for a series or perhaps just a game. You have to experiment with lineup changes. If Fields proves to be an asset at the top of the lineup, then it was worth the change. If not, go back to Dozar. It's not like a lineup change has to be permanent.

Speedy guys usually prove to be beneficial to be at the top of the lineup. I can see Fields getting on base, stealing 2nd, and Jones with the way he's been hitting lately knocking him in. Like I said, if Fields proves to be worst than Dozar (which I don't see happening), then you can always go back to Grant. But Grant struck out way too many times this past series IMO to be batting 2nd. Keep him in the lineup maybe, but not 2nd. tl;dr

I still want to give Dozar a chance but batting him second is just dumb. I thought that before he started slumping.

If Fields did start I'd bat him 9th. Jones has been too hot at leadoff to move him.

Dozar has been doing okay and I like him in the lineup for the most part. He just seems to be playing worse since he is playing more. Not able to lay the bunt down and errors hurts this weekend. Also I really thought PM would pinch hit for him this weekend when he came up with the bases loaded after Florida switched to the lefty. He should basically never bat against lefties.

If Fields gives you competent OF defense that's a positive you can't ignore with some of the OF play I saw this weekend. If nothing else he could be a late inning defensive replacement.

Plus he gives you a little more speed in the lineup. I think he definitely gets a start against either Alcorn or Southern Miss to audition for more playing time. Problem is Fields didn't do much against LA College last week.

The only time I would put Dozar in is for PH situations otherwise he is a liability to this team. Hes not good in the field and his hitting is mediocre. I would keep Ty Moore at 1B and replace Jared Foster with Arby Fields. Alex Edward as DH. That is the best lineup we can put on the field.

Isn't this what kept him out of opening night?

(Rhymes mistakes in the outfield were due to the concussion. He's made a few pretty plays out there. Foster looked like a jackleg running into Edward out there)

I think that was Edward fault if Foster called for the ball. I'm assuming he did. If I remember correctly, Edward has had some of those mishaps before when playing OF. He has been hitting the ball so well lately that if his hammy heals, he does need to stay in the lineup.

He needs to forget about batting right handed. He looks great from the left side. All he does when batting right is ground out.

Edward tweaked his hamstring. I don't know the severity but I imgaine they would hold him out of the weekday games. Hammies are things that can ruin your whole season.

sure seems to be the case with Edward. This kid just can't catch a break.

Well it doesn't matter how many steps each took. You learn early on that CF can call off anyone.

As much as I love Austin Nola, dogshit can do more at the plate than the disaster show he's been putting on. I hate to say it, but if Yocum can really get into a groove, I'd support yanking Nola for him.

Wow....

You do realize Nola is batting .300 and is the best fielder statistically on our team with a .992 fielding %.

Please take your fail somewhere else.
