Also the reason LSU shouldn't waste their time looking for an "elite" coach is the same reason Kentucky football will never steal a head coach from LSU, Alabama, Texas, USC, Ohio State, etc.
You can win here. It's already been proven. Dale made us relevant, but he wasn't the top coach in the nation. John Brady wasn't probably even top 50, but he got us in the tourney a few times and made it to the Final Four. Imagine what a truly good coach could do
