So the 70's comes in 2nd behind the 1950's - and you know what this tells me?

I need to check out more movies from the 50's.

I'm of the belief that 1950's > 1970's, but that's just me.

Worst decade of movies?

As said above, that's just a negative way to put it. Maybe "Weakest Decade of Films?"

80's or the 60's. Probably the 80's. And it's not because they are bad decades, it's just the 40s, 50s, 70s and 90s are so good. A case can be made for the 2000s, but I find that decade to be slightly more quality focused.

I've been going through a 50's rampage, and am blissfully ignorant of the 40's, which while I know it has Citizen Kane, Casablanca, and It's a Wonderful Life I've always assumed as a rather weak decade for film. I've just gone through most of the 50s classics and am about to start on that decade.
