You've seen Chinatown and didn't like it? One of my favorite movies of all time. Not that I could make a list but it would be top 200

40's or 80's, but as I said, I don't know much about the 40's in film to where I should keep my trap shut about it.

This year's crop is certainly going to drag down this decade.

Pretty slim pickings out there this year.

Would be over the 80's for me even if all I got to watch was Citizen Kane, Casablanca, all of John Ford and Hitchcocks movies.

I know alot about 30s and 50s films, it just seems that aside from like two Hitchcock films (and from what I've seen his best works were from the 50s IMO) and of course Casablanca, Citizen Kane, and It's a Wonderful Life, it's very much a blind spot in my cinematic knowledge. That and the horror genre (which I don't really like in general) are my weak areas.
