shite! I guess everybody is getting the red X.

What am I doing wrong? I post, then select the img markup and then go to photobucket, copy the img code, copy and then paste it next to the img box.

WTF?

Copy the direct link from photobucket and then post it in "img".

Eta: make sure the "img" box is empty before you paste.

Do like the eagles do. Wait for them to spawn out. They will taste like shite though......

Eagles are some of the laziest birds I have seen. Eat carrion mainly, they hate to have to actually hunt and like to find thermals to ride on so they don't have to flap their wings for hours at a time.

Yeah, they were starting to spawn when I was up there, which I'm sure led to the large numbers around the river. Luckily, the bears didn't make an appearance. I did catch one chum with my "bear hands."

Man, watching bears fish for salmon is one of life's pleasures. One of my favorite activities.

You can also paste the direct link into the message body, then highlight the direct link that you just posted and hit the img button. Then hit the preview button to see if it is working...

Paste the direct link from the picture in your photobucket into the img box on TD. Nothing else to it.

I would have enjoyed watching them, but I was with 3 women and we didn't bring a gun. I don't think seeing them in the river would have bothered me. It was the mile hike through the woods that was more bothersome.

When we say direct link, we are not talking about your entire photo bucket account. Each pic will have properties and have a direct link to that photo. You will use this direct link and put it in the img button so that it can be seen. Once you do it once you will see how easy it is...

You do need to set you photobucket account to private...

Chilkat River, near Haines

One of my favorite places of our trip. Eagles were flying and momma Brown Bears with their cubs were running off the salmon fishermen.

The first shot is an eagle flying over the Chilkat River, second is also from Haines and the bears are crossing the road next to the Chilkat River. Last two shots are from Homer. Gotta do that trip again someday, maybe in 2 or 3 years.
