Ive shot one and been around one while its shot. The recoil its self may be less than an AR-15 but the shock wave will move someone standing 15 feet away. The fact that the army limits professional snipes to something like less than 30 shots a day should tell you something.

But, what the hell. Lets blow something up!

On my first shot, the muzzle blast picked up a cardboard box with assorted shooting gadgets (maybe about 3 lbs. worth) and threw it over the side of the truck and into the pasture. I was shooting prone with the muzzle about even with end of the bed. It told me a lot about what I had just wrapped my hands around.

I think I've read on here that BP lives in TX....I hunt a fair amount in Uvalde and go that way sometimes. It's not a totally far fetched idea that we could arrange an OBGT.

I'll bring the ammo and the artillery.

All in, I'm at $3700. There are cheaper ones, and can easily go over $10,000 for just the gun.

For me, it was a whole new ball game- the market is so limited, everything for them is pretty expensive. Ammo isn't cheap (about $5 per),a decent bi-pod is over $200, a case big enough for one is over $300....I don't have one yet. Hell, it's not even close to fitting in my double rifle case that I fly with. The stinkin' laser boresighter for .50BMG when I looked was over 200 bucks (so I did it the old fashioned way with the bolt out).

Would I do it again? No doubt. It's a super cool toy.

You list your Bushnell Elite Tactical 4.5 x 30 x 50 Scope as costing you $900. However because I have been window shopping for scopes myself I noticed that your same scope cost $1435 from the Bushnell company website's store as seen here: LINK And I cannot find it for sale anywhere elts.

So my question to you is: You said you only paid $900 for it. But all I can find it is for $1435, which is a big price difference. So where where you able to find this scope for $900 bucks at bro?

Free for y'all- I'll get some tracers and we can shoot a couple propane tanks!

I recommend getting some 1/2" AR(impact resistant) plate and setting it out about 300yards, then sending a tracer or 10 down range at dusk and watch them ricochet through the air. Phucking awesome

Thank You for the tip! I have never heard of this company or such. It does however seem like their prices are much lower then anyone elts and they have a much greater selection. So Thank You for listing them. However, on their site, they have 2 different scopes with your exact specs of your scope but I am not sure which one is yours, if so... Click on my link, and if you could, please tell me, between the two, with a great price difference, which is the same as your scope? (If so...) LINK

The link didn't work, but no worries- there are 2 4.5-30s.....the more expensive version has an illuminated mil-dot reticle. Mine is the non-illuminated version.

Optics Planet is good to deal with.
