True

Was anyone else surpised at how old Tommen and Myrcella looked?
I had to do a double take to realize who they were.
I liked and disliked the Littlefinger/DirtyWhore scene. It continued the not-in-the-book scenes depicting the struggle of power in King's Landing (it wasn't in there right? It's been awhile since I read CoK) , but I don't think it fit Littlefinger's character to essentially threaten the king's mother to her face with no real bargaining chip if she decides to just kill him. That just felt off to me.

This. I was disappointed with that scene. Great premier though

yea, not sure why they feel the need to change character motivations/actions when there's no need
But I really liked what I saw from the first ep, esp Heady, who I wasn't impressed w/ last yr. She and Dinklage have really good chemistry and she seems to have a better grasp on Cersi
I'll be pissed if they short change Arya's story. Maise Williams is a good actress, she can handle it and I think all the shite Arya goes through would make really good TV.
And I really hope they've cast the Ramsay and Reeds and aren't saving them til next season.

I haven't seen anything about the Reeds in terms of the casting lists for this season. Lord Roose Bolton will be in this season though (Michael McElhatton will play him).

It doesn't fit his character....at all.
Littlefinger's place is always in the background.
He NEVER does anything overt and direct, but acts through catspaws.

What did everyone think of Ser Dontos? I always imagined him as a drunk, but not really a fat slob. Maybe I read through his description too quickly.

thought he could have been cast better but really doesn't bother me too much. I'm very happy with the casting of stannis and davos and the red priestess.

To me, Dany's storyline is the most interesting in the first 3 books (I'm 1/2 way through ASOS.)
Likewise. I'm a sucker for dragon lore and such so Dany's quest to regain the throne for the Targaryens is probably my favorite story arc. Tyrion and Jon Snow are my next favorite characters.

Dontos was cast perfectly. He was a knight who let him self go.
Robert used to be one helluva a warrior and look what he looked like in his later years

So am I. I was a little skeptical at first. But even in their short part in the premiere, I think they hit their personalities pretty well.

However you can't deny the tactical advantage a gigantic arse wolf would be on a battle field.
