Vehicle Prices as they relate to Gas Prices

Is it safe to assume that if gas prices continue to rise and hold a little high for 2-3 months, that large SUV and full sized truck prices may drop a little?
Or, will it take a long period of time of lacking sales to really see a drop in the larger gas consuming vehicles prices?
Im in the market for a used vehicle (either of the two types listed above) and I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

I'm hoping by the end of the summer if gas prices hold or rise I'll be able to get a large SUV for cheap.

I just bought an 07 tahoe Thursday. I thought of waiting for a while to see how low prices would get, but I got a fairly good deal on the one I bought so I couldn't pass it up and wait and see what happens
