Who from these schools is playing college baseball right now? Beano1210 and some thanksjhester dude wrote that a Live Oak kid was being looked at by LSU and SELA and would get drafted. The young man is on no rosters that I can find. Who from DS is still playing-2 or 3 signed last year with schools. What prospects do these schools have now.

Denham....
Lawson & Garrett have signed with LC
Cedotal signed with SLU
Forbes/Womack/Caruthers are at LSU-E
Walker.....
Kennard has signed JUCO.....we have another pitcher that will probably be signed JUCO as well.
Dixon (LHP) has signed with LC.
Live Oak....but I know they have a kid at SLU from last year (McGrew).
James Little is a Soph at BRCC

Didn't Forbes play at BRCC last year?

Nope...he was in HS last year
This is his first year at LSU-E and his doing really well (starting RF and had a 3 homer game earlier this year).
I believe Womack was redshirted this year.....

Somebody obviously didn't attend Live Oak.. There were maybe 5 people in the entire school that were the right size for college athletics, let alone actually using their talents.

I was referring to the comment you made earlier.......despite your tremendous contribution to this thread, there are "athletes" at these schools.

McGrew is not on SLU's team anymore for whatever reason.

What are you talking about? Live Oak has always had baseball recruits...many of them...and some good playoff runs. Softball recruits every year. Last year though some fans were nuts, possibly relatives, about a kid getting drafted, etc and I can't find him on a roster anywhere...last year was down I think.

Maybe I am thinking of a different Forbes. Andrew Forbes was at BRCC last year.

The kids name is Drew Forbes.......but he never went to BRCC

Andrew Forbes, Live Oak class of 2007 and son of Asst Coach & Next Level Baseball Academy Owner Will Forbes, enrolled at D-III Louisiana College in fall of 2007, but did not stay for baseball in the spring. I think he did try to play at BRCC, but is now out of baseball. 2B at Live Oak.
Andrew Forbes from Walker High School is listed this year as a FR Pitcher on the BRCC roster.

I graduated in 09 from Denham and there were a couple dudes that went to smaller colleges I think.

Ryne Smith I think went to Wallace in Alabama

I was a pretty shitty football player at Live Oak... does that count?
Lettered as a Cornerback AND Offensive Tackle... don't ask.

I think the answer you guys are all looking for was Jared Ashford. I remember working in the office when the Ray's called for his scouting report. I think he was at SELU but injuries effected his career, I do not know how badly.

Ashford was good and Live Oak really rode him in 2006 and 2007.
Played juco ball In Florida and ended up at SELA. Had an exagerated over the top motion and i thought he would get drafted. Ended up clocking mid 80's and got overshadowed by some other local kids.
Corner and O-line hunh. You must have played for Bozeman?
