Someone tweeted that Goodell is judge, jury, and executioner.
I guess they could appeal to him, but it would take an act of God to change his mind on the matter.
I've read a few things too saying that Goodell is extremely pissed that the league was lied to this whole time. I wonder if it might benefit to go to him once he's "calmed down".

I don't know how that could be legal. Even convicted killers have an appeal process.

If this is true. That is way too much power vested in one individual. If goodell had any really wanted to make the NFL about integrity, he would give up some of that power.
Appeals process needs to be a committee, not one person, much less the same person who handed down the punishments.
