I learned today that I am going to spend the next two weeks in Dallas, Texas, USA. I found FC Dallas on the web and wondered if any of you have had any experience watching this club? The only game is April 5 against FC New England. The stadium seems a long way from Dallas.
Help would be appreciated.

FC Dallas has Brek Shea. He is a really young US player. He trained with Arsenal for a few months in the winter. He is one of the best young talent the US has to offer at the moment.

Isn't he on your Olympic roster?

Yea, but I think he also has 20+ caps with the Senior team. As well.
ETA: Zach Lloyd has had a handful of call ups with the Senior team.
and George John was called up by the US and Greece of late. He went to West Ham on a 2 month spell but failed miserably and didn't even get 1st team cap.

Don't forget their playmaker David Ferreira, he was the MLS MVP 2 years ago.

It'll be interesting how David Ferreira comes back from injury. He is pretty old. What was it again, a broken leg ?
Also, supposedly FC Dallas turned down a 2.5 million transfer from Schalke for Brek Shea.

It's in Frisco, a suburb. I'm not familiar enough with Dallas to comment definitively, but it seems as if it would be a pain in the arse to get to w/o a car
It should not be too hard to get tickets

Just do the Texan thing and rent a big Cadillac with bull horns on the hood.

I thought Dallas had widespread train service. Apparently, it does not.
I will have to rent a car.

A European thought that the US had anything resembling a decent train system. This is cute

We have a system called DART that runs through the Metroplex. However, it does not run as far north as Frisco. FC Dallas Stadium is only about a 20 minute drive down the Dallas North Tollway from the 635/Galleria area. The team is stretched really thin right now due to injuries to playmakers David Ferreira and Fabian Castillo. Carlos Rodriguez is on international duty as well. We have been starting an FC Dallas Academy product on the wing as well as Jair Benitez who is normally the starting left back due to the depleted squad. The only bright spot about the United States' horrible exit from Olympic Qualifying is the return of Brek Shea!!! Hopefully as we regain our normal starters we will return to our usual winning ways! I'm Dallas til I die!!!! Let's GO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS!!!!!
