You guys lay off of Air McConnell. No he wasn't an OC again after LSU, he was a head coach.

Actually, I think Bob was only a position coach at PBS. Dude was terrible.
Also, I think Gerry was somewhat bitter. I remember the articles he wrote for geaux.com to discuss SEC games during Saban's first year and every time he talked about an LSU win there would be something in there along the lines of "well had I gotten another year at LSU we'd be having a similar season" I believe I also read somewhere he couldn't watch the 2003 NCG because he felt that could have been him out there.
Nice guy though and laid the foundation to help us get where we are today, but he wasn't going to be the guy to get us here.. Thank God for Emmert forcing that worthless Joe Dean to fire him
