1. Gregory makes a quality pack and comfort is very important. If it feels better, go with it.

2. I wear a bandanna to keep sweat from dripping down my face. You can wear a typical ball cap if you aren't going far. Otherwise I see people wearing outdoor research brand hats, they aren't made out of cotton and wick very well. Cotton isn't a hiker/backpackers friend.

3. I have a crazy creek chair for car camping but carry a similar type chair when backpacking. I'm having trouble linking on my phone but search Thermarest Trekker chair kit. Your pad folds into it and it creates a chair.
