Are we sure we're not confusing "Amazing Stories" with the new "Twilight Zones" from the 80's. One of the two had an episode where this kid had a shadow man coming out from under his bed at night to kill. The kid got cocky because his shadow man wouldnt hurt him but got killed by a shadow man from under someone elses bed.

I remember the Twilight Zone reboot too. I think it was panned, but at 7 years old, I liked it. The was 1 where a lady took an anti-aging drug with a side effect of making you way older if you stopped. Her husband found out, forgave here and took a bunch of it so he could be as old as her.
In another, criminals were shunned instead of jailed. You had some kind of microchip glued to your forehead.
I think these two shows played back to back on Sunday nights like at 7:00 est?
