A damn flatbed trailer is wasp heaven. Standard procedure at work in the summer. Going hook up to the gooseneck? Make sure you bring the soap and water backpack sprayer. You got a war to fight first

I would call Billy the Exterminator and his magic powder/spray/smoke stuff.
I used to have the things all over my yard in La, and there isn't much you can do but start to kill them once you see them. It's a maintenance issue and you have to be vigilant in keeping the bastards out, or they seem to attract more. Not much you can do to prevent them from showing up
