I amazingly don't have a problem with this. Dude played out his contract to a high level and if Mickey wanted to get some value for him via trade then he should've signed him to an extension last season.

I have every bit of faith in the FO when it comes to plugging in peeps on the offense and it never missing a beat (mostly because Brees makes every one of those players better). Not so much on the defensive side though.

No matter how you want to spin it, when a young, top positional player walks free from your organization without receiving any compensation back... it sets you back. Temporarily tagging him and allowing him to seek a trade is a win scenario for everyone.
