agreed 100%
these special all-star team bullshits that have started getting so big in the last 10 or so years are ruining baseball, IMO. puts too much pressure on the kids.
my younger brother used to be on a normal rec league all-star team...4 or 5 tourneys after the regular season that culminated in state playoffs. now it's 40 weeks out of the year these teams are together.

It's power ratings. You beat better teams, your rating goes up. It's a formula that is calculated automatically when results are posted on the USSSA site.
