re: I'm in the market for a new car

I got hit with all the tricks listed today. I left for Mobile at 7am, looked at the car, drove it and intended to buy it. I sat there for an hour just waiting for paperwork back and forth. Finally around 1230 I said I was going to lunch and I'd come back when they had all the paperwork in order.
Basically, the advertised price was 29,999, they took a $1,000 off to get me to test drive it, and then I had a USAA coupon for an additional $700 off the final negotiated price. In the end we agreed to $28,300 for the car and they would include an extended warranty. I put down a $5k downpayment on my credit card and went to lunch.
I came back at 1:30 and they sent me off to the finance guy...which I thought was odd because, I already informed them I was financed. I found it even stranger that he began talking numbers in "monthly payments." When he presented the purchase contract, the numbers seemed off, so I pulled out my iphone calculator, and notified the dealer that he forgot to factor in the downpayment. He went through the numbers and said I forgot to factor the cost of warranty. When I referred back to the paperwork, and explained all the details were previously confirmed with the salesman, and the warranty was included without charge. At that point they brought the whole team in, and said the salesman misunderstood the manager, etc....they then said I must have known they made a mistake because the warranty cost $3,400, and I was trying to take advantage of an obvious mistake. When that was unsuccessful, they dropped the "let's take $500 off the warranty, and call it even." The last resort was "Are you really going to drive six hours for nothing?" Needless to say, I had them refund my credit card, and I'll take my chances in Houston.
I thought of MT while they gave me some time to think about my options, and took this pic. Am I the only one that thinks this paperwork is deceptive?

Will Cover we met a few years ago in the Albertsons highland/airline hwy parking lot - I had a Infiniti g35 that I was looking to sale and you were interested. I recently purchased a used 09 Chevy z71 4x4 and wanted to thank you for your car buying advice.
