Has anyone tried El Barrio in Birmingham?

Its on 2nd ave north. Went with the better half last friday, crowded as frick, kind of tight quarters, but i hear the food is legit. We left and went down to street to Cafe Dupont. i didn't care for the lounge type seating for a restaurant with limited 2 and 4 tops. Cool if you are hanging out with friends, but might not be a great place to bring your better half. Anyone in Bama been or out of town travelers?
