I think Rodenberry had a similar idea for a Star Trek sequel set in the Federation's far future. It morphed into Andromeda.

I enjoyed Enterprise. It's actually my favorite series after DS9. Just something about the initial voyages into the final frontier. Kind of had a Columbus thing going on.


The temporal storyline was a little much, but the series had a lot of good stories, as they could do a lot with species interacting with Humans for the first time and not understanding what we are like, then learning about us, as well as us learning about them.

Wish that series got eight years instead of Voyager.
