I agree. Which means as of today LSU "could" be moving closer to one of the "play-in game" spots. The difference between NC State and LSU is their non-conf SOS and RPI:

LSU: SOS: 205 RPI: 104
NC St: SOS: 30 RPI: 47

LSU's relatively weak non-conf schedule and those two bad loses to S.Ala. and CC are looming very large right now.

Exactly what will keep them out of the dance. Especially that non-conference SOS, the committee likes to see teams challenge itself in the non-conference.
