Does anyone know what restaurant is at the corner of Evangeline and Johnston on the south side? It looks like an old run down house, but it always seems to be busy? It doesn't have any signage that I can tell. Thanks.

Yes. It is south of the gas station and car lot. Across from the restaurant equipment store.

Isn't it a daiquiri place or soemthing? Or am I thinking of the wrong spot?

Not sure, but I think it's a meeting place for AA.

The building looks rather non-descript, and there is a very faded image of the triangle- within-the-circle on one of the exterior walls.

Possible vending machine is seen outside as well.

I have long wondered what goes on in there.

I know what your talking about and the place is always packed at lunch time. I never have been able to get any info on the place though.

Wrong spot.

If you are on Johnston street, going away from UL, toward Evangeline Thruway, you will cross the railroad tracks as you get close to the thruway.

Look to the left. It is set back from Johnston street by about 40 yards.

Why don't you go there and scout it out for us, then come back here and write a review.

Wait you described it as across from the restaurant depot (south of johnston). He just described it as north of johnston (near the daquiri shop).

Isnt there a chicken and plate lunch spot near thay area?

Basically, if you are standing in the meader's parking lot and looking at downtown it is either on that line or a little right of that but across the street.

I'm pretty sure your talking about taco sisters. Worth going their food is awesome. Fish tacos and brisket burrito are good.

There is a rehab place right there on the NW side of Johnston/SW Evangeline

Wrong side of the tracks and wrong set of tracks. Keep heading toward evangeline thruway and you hit a second set of tracks just before the thruway.

He said across the street (evangeline) from the restaurant supply store. Its some small rotting shack iirc. I drive by it daily so I'll take a look at it monday.

It's on the edge of the "hood"

It has an old Pepsi vending machine by the front door and something painted on the side facing Johnston but I cannot make it out.

It is not taco sisters.

You blind and directionally-challenged fricks are confusing each other

Read one of my earlier posts about where it is and what's painted on the wall.

Do we have some "confirmation" that there is some form of rehab going on in there?

World's biggest Taco Sisters fan right here!

Taco Sisters is across the street from The Leather Pouch, at the Johnston street and Vermilion street intersection.
