I know what you're saying. I personally didn't like Avatar, but I feel like everyone else did.

difference between a remake of the TMNT and Avatar, is that Avatar wasn't a remake. it was something new and fresh.

Don't reboot a movie just to throw in cgi and 3D, (star wars comes to mind; just a matter of time until 4,5,6 are redone with more CGI and 3D)

I must have watched the original tmnt about a 1000 times when I was a kid. Used to go to the dollar show on Saturday's in the morning and stay there all day watching that movie over and over and over. Definitely in my top 10 of all time list.
