Isn't that why black players don't receive the same praise? Because they do it every night?

Sounds strangely similar to a 25 year old quote from Rodman/Thomas on Larry Bird (people think Larry Bird is great because he is white). I'm not comparing Lin to Bird btw - just the reaction from black athletes annoyed by a pale player getting high praise

He's in New York and no one on the team could do close to what he has done over the last week... D'antoni gave everyone else a shot first

There is an issue with black athletes being strangely insecure about non-blacks getting praise in sports. Which probably relates to them putting too much of their own ego into sports achievements instead of other things in life
