I'm going to create a new guild thread tomorrow now that we have a release date and can actually start planning. My experience with the game at this point has been extensive. Muppet has been playing a bit as well.

Two things about servers:

1) They ONLY affect Guilds and WvWvW, that's it. You can actually guest on any server, any time. So we have to keep that in mind. I do want this to be a big, active guild that does both PvE and PvP of all forms.

But I also know people are tempted to play "right away" and won't wait for a server. Apparently, they will make server transfers in the first few months cheap, so we can set up on a server, let people do what they want, and they can transfer when things settle down. But again, I don't want to risk losing numbers.

2) My goal is to be on a mid-tier PvP server. Since server choice truly only effects PvP, if you want to PvP, you want to be competitive. Losing all the time won't be fun.

On the other hand, if you are on a heavy PvP server, the cap limits may stop you from playing.

With that said, I think Sorrow's Furnace is the best place right now. We can wait to see how things play out a bit (Maguuma is the other option IMO).

Currently, the guild is on Eredon Terrace, and I loathe PvP with them. Very little organization. Although, we did take the entire map yesterday during the stress test. Every single keep over the course of 2 hours or so. That WAS fun for awhile.
