All the people saying that they are over the loss because we are coming back even stronger next season and will have another chance at the title, here's a news flash: Nothing is certain in college football. Anything could happen. We have to play Bama this year and every fricking year with Saban on the other sideline for the foreseeable future. You don't get chances like we had this year often. You take it and give it your best shot when you have it. Les could win 2 more national championships at LSU, or he may never win another one again. His team had a chance to go down in history as one of the best teams ever, but he blew it. What hurts is his inflexibility to try anything different at all. No idea what was going through his mind during that game. We may never see a regular season like that ever again. God, I am still butthurt. Typing this only made me madder.
Yes. I am so angry in fact that I have decieded to take a step back from college football. It's just to maddening to watch teams like Alabama get all the breaks because of who they are and who they know.

I am still feeling it. I am hoping a good baseball season will help me forget. Stories we could tell our grandkids were taken from us that night. Blame it on whomever you'd like... We let a GOLDEN opportunity slip by.

Two basic questions still remain for me.
1) Was the coaching really that bad?
2) If it wasn't the coaching then what else could it be?
I'd much rather the answer to be #1. #2 goes many places I don't want it to go.
Whatever it was immediately and adversely affected recruiting.

It was a black eye but it's gone. Hopefully the program can make up for the debacle next year. After the spring game, the sting will be over for most. You only get to the NCG on rare occasion and the fans had their hopes up, but at least LSU should be in a position to get back to the game this year. If LSU loses two or more games though, it could get ugly.

In a word......YES.

I'm at the point now where I can start looking back on the season and smile. I'm not saying that I wasn't happy with our season after we lost the NC, but, it was tough to get any sort of feeling of happiness when I thought back over the season.
I'm still not over the NC, I'm not sure if I ever will be, because, of how great of a team we had, and, knowing that they will never be rewarded with a title, but, I certainly can watch highlights and enjoy seeing that team play again now, as I did so much live last year.

I'm over it. 13-1 is sometimes good enough for a NC. The biggest suprise for me was that I was actually happy for Bama. They played a great game. LSU will be back in 2012.
