Got my season tickets yesterday and noticed 8 games in 10 days with the last 3 being SEC games.
Is CPM trying to simulate SEC tourney or Omaha setup? Seems like a lot.
Our pitching staff better be as deep as CPM says it is b/c that is brutal.
Fri, Mar 09 Michigan - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Sat, Mar 10 Michigan - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 6:30 p.m.
Sun, Mar 11 Notre Dame - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 3:00 p.m.
Mon, Mar 12 Notre Dame - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 6:30 p.m.
Wed, Mar 14 Northwestern St. - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 6:30 p.m.
Fri, Mar 16 Mississippi St. * - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 7:00 p.m.
Sat, Mar 17 Mississippi St. * - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 6:00 p.m.
Sun, Mar 18 Mississippi St. * - Baton Rouge, La. (Alex Box Stadium) 1:00 p.m.

Dang.
At least 5 of the 8 games are against crappy teams.

There is 2 other stretches like this during the season, and there have been the last couple years since they moved the start of the season back, where have you been? And why would you point out this one instead of the 8 games in 10 days that includes Bama and Florida?
And that stretch you mentioned, only Miss St. is worth a frick.....and thats a maybe

With EVERY ONE of those games being at home and our starting rotation being as good as it is, I don't see us going any worse than 5-3 in that stretch with my expectation to be a reasonable 6-2.
No reason not to win at least 3 of the 4 against those yankee college baseball programs and needing to take 2 of 3 against a middling Miss State team at home.
This stretch isn't even close to how hard the schedule is going to get later on in SEC play. I hope we can stay just above .500 against the competiton we face this year getting Florida and South Carolina.

It's not really LSU's choice I'm sure. We have the Big Ten and all the other northern teams to blame for the compressed season. I'm sure you'll remember 2-3 years ago when the start of the college season got pushed back two weeks because it was "too cold" for the northerners and the whined about it. So now you have the same amount of games you used to, just in a shorter window. That means more mid-week games and more stretches like that.
