At least the Giants had to win their division to make the playoffs. And if they did make it as a wild card, they would've had to win three road games in order to make the title game instead of just being put in the title game.

I just can't reason an average team (this year's 9-7 Giants) being given the opportunity to play for a championship. Yea, they got hot and won it all, but why couldn't they do it before December? This same team looked fricking awful 2 months ago in the Superdome, and several other times this year. My league wouldn't have given this team a shot.
