Bay boat choice?

Starting to consider a bay boat purchase, or something with similar shallow water capabilities. I have fished from Whalers and Blue Waves, but that is about it. Love them both. Our old Montauk would go damn near anywhere as would my buddy's Blue Wave. I do like the new Mako CC, not the Skiff though

What are some of the OB's favorites? Cost, pros/cons?

Don't listen to jsmoke. he doesn't recommend bay boats. he recommends speed boats that you could fish out of

Where do you want to fish it predominantly? If you're gonna hold up in the marsh you need a flats skiff type hull. If you ever plan on touching Lake Ponchartrain waters you'll need a heavy bay boat hull.

I would say that a bay boat w/ a heavy hull and a jackplate is very versatile for SE Louisiana.
