Good stuff

Ultimately the reason why we missed out on player's that we "thought" we were getting, or having player's commit and leave....was pretty simple. We are loaded at every position, and that means a lot of competition for playing time. Looks like the ones that left wanted to play right away, and shy away from competition. Good riddance, I want players that want to bleed purple and gold, and not shy away from competition. We will be fine, and I feel that we are going to look back on this class and say "Wow...I can't believe he was a 3* recruit???"

I have no problem with kids leaving the state. Some kids just want to get away and there is nothing you can do or say to convince them to stay. While I went to LSU for undergrad, I left the state to get my graduate degree. I just wanted to get away and experience something else for a few years. I'm sure the staff did all they could to get Kiel, Collins, and Davis to come to LSU -- outside of giving their girlfriends jobs. That being said, what Davis and his coach did is deceitful and says a lot about both of them. People always bash coaches for over-signing, but what they don't realize is that coaches have to over-sign to cover their asses from punk 18 year old kids who are intent on "playing the game."

I think we have a very underrated class that directly addresses our needs. We have been bitching for years about our lack of depth in the OL and LB positions. No longer.
