What's disturbing to me is the cold shoulder so many top rated recruits gave us this year? Couple that with what senior players were saying as they a few weeks ago, something just doesn't feel right with the atmosphere of the program. I really believe the JJ/JL situation really took it's toll on the program's prestige a little bit on the national stage.

I think that was the fear many of us have had. Miles stubbornly put all his eggs in one basket, and it is now costing the program. We saw it coming when Miles had JJ doing the ESPN carwash. WTF? JJ? Of all players? We got George Jefferson out of it, then came Shadys, then came 1/9.
Miles just would not entertain any notion that he was dead wrong. But we endured an entire year of MalVeto because of his hubris. He makes decisions based some unproven metric, and not reality. So, it is what it is.
