"Hes gonna get redshirted."

"He needs a diet."

I think at this point we, as fans, can trust that coach Moffitt (who is the best in the business) will have this kid slimmed down and in great physical shape for next season. Liggins speed and agility is there. What I can't understand is how everyone thinks this kid is getting automatically redshirted. He has a ton of ability. He's big, has great speed and agility for his size, and has a rocket for an arm, with good touch. I think the only thing that could hold him back is his effort in the classroom. But it wouldn't shock me if he was the back up behind Mett. This kid can play. All im saying is don't sleep on Liggins being the back up next year.

P.S. I wrote this quickly on an iPhone. Please english nazis...spare my life just this once.

The best one though is he is going to move to DE or DT!

Saying hes going to Redshirt isnt a knock on the kid. Hes got 3 QBs ahead of him and needs a year to develop and learn. Not redshirting him would be dumb unless the kid is a monster as soon as he walks on campus but I dont think hes that developed that far

But again its not a knock, just saying whats probably best for his career if he ever wants to see the field

When does he get on campus for Moffitt to do his thing?

Did he play in any All-star games? In the film I have seen he looked like a man vs. boys, but I have no idea who he was going against.

Surprisingly light on his feet for a guy carrying that weight on a 6-3 frame.

Good timing on intermediate routes and showed some touch on deeper routes.

He even showed an understanding of how to attack the LOS on the option.

I dont think people realize that IF LSU can win a NC next yr then it could be likely in part to Mett's quality of play and he could leave early at that point. Beyond Mett the QB job is a mystery and we better be gettin some folks ready.

I don't see how he takes any snaps at QB next season. Why would we want 3 QBs who would all graduate the same year?

Yes, he most likely will be. Especially considering he has Mett, a 4-star (Randall), and a 3-star (Rivers) ahead of him. Give him that free year to learn and grow.

You can guarantee that regardless of redshirt or not.

Nothing is shocking when it comes to LSU quarterback debates anymore, but I don't really see Liggins being ahead of two redshirt freshmen (especially a fellow 3-star and a four star), even if they still need a little work.
