The road continues. This weekend:

- Hansen goes against 12 competitors in the G3 Gotham at Aqueduct Park tomorrow. Although the colt won't be sporting a blue tail.

Gotham Brisnet PPs

*I like Raconteur a lot in this race, along with Hansen and another Pletcher horse Dan and Sheila

- In other more disappointing news... promising colt and G3 Holy Bull winner Algorithms has been sidelined from the Triple Crown trail with a leg fracture.

Hansen looked good yesterday maybe he is back to 2 yr old talent. He actually did not run on the lead from the start.

If you had to choose today who would you pick Union Rags or Hansen? I love Hansen but I think UR is better right now.

God, I don't know.

I did include the field in my future exacta today.

I'd have to wait til they each faced good groups of horses.

I'm not throwing out creative cause yet

Out of bounds off the trail after fracturing an ankle in his work today.

Almost took him in the future. Glad now that I didn't.

Tough call because they're both clearly the class of this group of 3 year-olds at the moment.

Hansen proved this weekend that he's a pretty versatile runner - was surprised Ramon didn't gun him out of the gate to save ground before the first turn, but he didn't really need to. The colt relaxed and settled in then when he turned it on nobody was close. (My Adonis.. lol).

Union Rags though may be the better horse (probably he has the better jockey too), and remember when Hansen edged UR out in the Juvenile UR raced wide the entire race.

The Wood and the Florida Derby will be quite telling.

Also:

- was disappointed Raconteur didn't turn in a better effort

- San Felipe this weekend has some nice prospects

- Pletcher should put Calvin Borel on Gemologist

Probably the most competitive prep this year, as of now anyway.

Just found out my mare is in heat

Back to the stud we go :(

I'm surprised how much I'm loving the Cali horses this year.

Both empire way and creative cause to the San Felipe.

Trainer decided not to split them.

Guess Sabercat is heading to the rebel?

Rebel seems most likely. Hasn't raced since November.. I'm guessing Arkansas Derby a month after that? but then that leaves only 3 weeks before the Derby ..

Gemologist in the Rebel as well I think. And watch out if Secret Circle gets in that field. He loves the Oaklawn track. Apparently it's running pretty slow and rough.. any horse that wins in solid time at OP is a fit colt.

I know. Not an ideal set up, but I NEED him to start winning some races

It's looking like I'll actually go to the derby this year

We'll hopefully have one in the sprint that day

:fingerscrossed:
